Today, in a splendid display of faith and tradition, millions from Bulgaria, Belarus, Greece, Russia, Serbia, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia, commemorate the Resurrection of Christ. This significant event in the Eastern Orthodox calendar not only marks a moment of profound religious observance but also a celebration of hope, renewal, and unity among various nations and cultures.
Across the landscapes of Eastern Europe and beyond, the chant “Christ is Risen!” resonates through the early morning air, as faithful believers gather in ornately decorated churches. The celebration of the Resurrection of Christ is a cornerstone of Orthodox Christian faith, embodying the triumph of Jesus over death and his promise of eternal life. It’s a time when families reunite, communities come together, and nations reaffirm their cultural heritage and religious devotion.
“Christ is Risen!” is not just a proclamation; it’s a reaffirmation of faith, a beacon of hope, and a celebration of community. As we share in this joyous occasion, let us carry the light of Christ in our hearts and spread the message of peace and renewal to all corners of the globe. Happy Resurrection Day to all who celebrate, and may this season of Easter bring joy, peace, and prosperity to you and your loved ones.
May the light of Christ’s Resurrection continue to illuminate our paths, guiding us through the trials and triumphs of life’s journey. And may the bonds of brotherhood and compassion, forged in the crucible of shared belief, endure for generations to come.
In the words of the ancient hymn:
“Christ is risen from the dead,
Trampling down death by death,
And upon those in the tombs bestowing life.”
Indeed, He is Risen! And to all who rejoice in His glorious Resurrection, a blessed and joyous Easter season.

Christ is Risen. Truly He is Risen.
Beautiful article.
God bless you Medeea.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God in the flesh, i.e. the physical offspring of Heavenly Father. Christ is also the Firstborn of Father’s spirit children, which includes all of mankind. He is also the first of mankind to rise from the dead. He brought about the resurrection, so that all mankind may be resurrected. At His resurrection many of the early saints (members of Christ’s church) were resurrected from the days of Adam to Christ’s resurrection. At His second coming His faithful saints, that died after His resurrection, will be resurrected in the morning of the First Resurrection (i.e. first at His second coming), followed by all the good people of the Earth in the afternoon of the First Resurrection, i.e. all who were not associated with His church. All bad people will be resurrected at the end of the Millennium.
I Corinthians 15:20-22:
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Amen
