If FEMA was doing it’s job it would have learned that in order to put of fires you need water in the hydrants. They knew this after the Maui fires in 2023 and yet it’s the same excuse that was used again in January 2025 for the Los Angeles fires. The thing is they know. But all the money they request from the tax payers via congress doesn’t go towards preventing disasters it goes towards creating disasters. This is how FEMA stays in business. If you don’t believe it research grant money that FEMA gives out and what it’s for. 2024 it was mostly for fire and floods and there isn’t much on prevention but on rebuilding and implementation of new building codes and environmental law enforcement. Change and progress is understandable but killing Americans to get there is not.
Whenever there is something big that happens I always check to see what FEMA is preparing for exercise wise or has conducted. It’s funny because if the big event is fires FEMA’s preparing for FIRE that year. FEMA is the one thing Jimmy Carter did that really has hurt a lot of people. They provide very little considering all the money they are allotted. I mean you would think that after Maui in 2023, FEMA would have at least made sure to have water available in fire prone states like California in 2024 – 2025 but the same excuse for the devastating fires that engulfed Los Angeles (NO water) was used again. FEMA funds are not going to prevent devastation but to create devastation so that new building code and environmental laws can be implemented and enforced. All anyone has to do is look at were the grant money goes to figure that out. I understand progress is necessary but it’s not necessary to kill dozens of people to build homes that withstand natural and not so natural future events. FEMA is a danger to human life and one of the biggest disasters that threatens this country on a regular basis.
this doesn’t make sense, if they were doing all this training, why didn’t people ask why they didn’t prevent it ? pretty far fetched.
