    Life can sometimes feel like a dark tunnel. We all have times when we feel anxious or confused, when we need to know that things will get better. We need hope, something to look forward to, something to reach for, something to keep us moving onward.

    All it takes is the smallest point of light and suddenly we know where to go. We know there’s a way out of darkness. We know the future can be bright. Just when we think we can’t continue, we catch a glimmer of light and the power of hope propels us forward.

    That light may come in the form of a supportive loved one, or from remembering that we’ve made it through other dark tunnels in the past. It might be our values and firm convictions that have stood the test of time. It might be day-to-day blessings that somehow give us courage to put one foot in front of the other.

    No matter the challenge or difficulty, such glimmers of light reassure us that life’s tunnels are temporary. Given time, patience and effort, life gets better. No matter how dark the tunnel, there’s always light at it’s end.

    Project MKUltra, also called the CIA mind control program, is the code name given to a program of experiments on human subjects that were designed and undertaken by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, some of which were illegal. Experiments on humans were intended to identify and develop drugs and procedures to be used in interrogations in order to weaken the individual and force confessions through mind control.     • I believe the Brunson case is in play, but maybe not like you think. We have to actively be trying to “save ourselves” in any and every “legal” way possible. Brunson case is just one of them. Then when all avenues are exhausted, that’s when it feels like all hope is lost. Then MILITARY!

    • The WITSEC program was formally established under Title V of the Organized Crime Control Act of 1970, which states that the United States Attorney General may provide for the relocation and protection of a witness or potential witness of the federal government or a state government in an official proceeding concerning organized crime or other serious offenses.     • The precursor to WITSEC was the Federal Witness Protection Program, created in the mid-1960s by Gerald Shur, the attorney in charge of the Intelligence and Special Services Unit of the Organized Crime and Racketeering Section of the United States Department of Justice.
    • Most witnesses are protected by the United States Marshals Service under the Department of Justice, while the protection of incarcerated witnesses is the duty of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
