The world stood still on April 21, 2025, as news broke from the heart of the Vatican: Pope Francis has died, just one day after Easter Sunday.
For many, it marks the end of an era. For others, it signals the beginning of something deeper — something not yet fully visible, but already in motion.
The death of a Pope is never just a religious moment. It is a global event, a rare instance where ancient tradition, political power, and spiritual longing all collide.
But what happens next?
What is the sacred, intricate process that unfolds within the marble halls of the Vatican — behind closed doors, beyond the gaze of the public?
This article will walk you step by step through the protocol that has governed the Roman Catholic Church for centuries — a protocol that now awakens once again as the Papal Conclave of 2025 begins.
Let us begin.

The Death of a Pope — End of a Pontificate, Not the Power
On Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, passed away at the age of 88 in his private residence, Casa Santa Marta, inside Vatican City.
His death is not just the loss of a man — it’s the suspension of the highest spiritual office on Earth. The Catholic Church, representing over 1.3 billion people worldwide, now stands at a turning point.
This moment initiates an ancient transition. One that is heavily ceremonial, but also deeply strategic, both spiritually and geopolitically.
“Sede Vacante” — When the Throne Is Empty
Immediately after the Pope’s death is officially confirmed, the Holy See enters what is called Sede Vacante — Latin for “the seat is vacant.”
This period is far more than symbolic.
➡️ The papal authority ceases completely. No new doctrine may be issued.
➡️ All major Vatican decisions are frozen.
➡️ The Papal Apartments are sealed, including his personal belongings, writings, and ring — the “Ring of the Fisherman,” which is ceremonially destroyed to prevent forgery.
During this time, the Church functions only through basic operations, overseen by the Camerlengo — the Vatican’s Chamberlain — who becomes the temporary administrator of the Vatican State.

“Novendiales” — Nine Days of Mourning
The Church now enters a phase known as Novendiales, meaning “nine days.”
Each day is marked by:
A public Mass in Saint Peter’s Basilica
Official prayers for the deceased Pontiff
Reflections on his legacy and message
The Pope’s body is laid in state, allowing world leaders, cardinals, clergy, and pilgrims to pass by and offer their final respects.
This phase is also the moment when political and spiritual power shifts quietly behind the scenes. Eyes are no longer just on the past — they turn to the future.
Summoning the Cardinals — The Elect Are Called Home
During the mourning period, Vatican officials send official summons to every cardinal elector — those under 80 years of age — to return to Rome.
Currently, there are approximately 120 cardinal electors, spread across continents.
Their role: to elect the next Bishop of Rome — the next Pope.
They arrive at the Vatican discreetly, staying at Domus Sanctae Marthae.
They attend masses, private briefings, and spiritual retreats in preparation for the most important vote of their lives.
The Conclave — A Locked Door, A Global Decision
When the mourning ends, the Vatican locks the most powerful spiritual leaders on Earth inside the Sistine Chapel, where the Papal Conclave of 2025 officially begins.
The rules are strict and ancient:
No phones. No internet. No media.
Cardinals are under oath of absolute secrecy.
They vote in repeated rounds until one man receives at least two-thirds of the votes.
After each round:
Black smoke rises from the chapel chimney = no Pope yet.
White smoke = a new Pope has been elected.
This moment is watched live by billions. It’s more than tradition — it’s a spiritual signal to the world: a voice has been chosen.

“Habemus Papam” — We Have a Pope
When the white smoke finally rises, bells ring throughout Vatican City. The Cardinal Protodeacon steps out onto the balcony of Saint Peter’s Basilica and announces:
“Habemus Papam!”
(We have a Pope!)
The newly elected Pope appears before the world and gives his first apostolic blessing: Urbi et Orbi — “to the city and to the world.”
His name, his first words, his appearance — they will be analyzed for days. But more importantly, his choices, his mission, and his alliances will define the next era of the Church.
Why It Matters — Power, Doctrine, and the World Stage
The Pope is not just a spiritual figure. He is:
A head of state
A diplomatic force
A moral compass (or weapon) in the world of geopolitics
The next Pope’s stance on:
Globalism
Migration
Climate policy
Interfaith alliances
Moral doctrine
…will shape Vatican influence for decades to come.
This is not just about faith. It is about the future of religion, politics, and the power to define truth in a shifting world.
What to Watch as the Papal Conclave 2025 Unfolds
Who are the strongest candidates? Will we see a traditionalist, or another progressive figure like Francis?
Will the next Pope lean toward sovereignty and scriptural truth, or toward UN-backed global agendas?
Is the Vatican moving toward reform — or consolidation of control?
For those watching with discernment: this moment is prophecy, protocol, and politics… in motion.

Well the last few Pope’s had taken themselves onto the deepest darakness of evil, gold and depravity.
I guess it could be said Lucifer himself was in charge with Mother Teresa hand delivering newborn babies to Rome.
With many of the existing old Cardinals on site killed by the Russian military teams maybe the younger Cardinals will orientate on the Life of Christ .
Turn it all off. Instead, go out and spend some of your very precious time with the people that mean the most to you. Make good food and enjoy it together. Take a walk somewhere out in nature. Our unique and incredible time here on our blue planet ticks away!
Rituals only get us so far.
