Fight Begins: NATO Deploy 5,000 Troops to Near Russian Border Amid Tension over Ukraine
Estonia is ready and able to host a contingent of up to 5,000 troops from NATO’s rapid response force if the order to deploy them is given, Tallinn has said, despite Russian concerns over the US-led bloc’s forces near its border.
Tensions between Ukraine and Russia are rising after the talks failed. Moscow now has around 100,000 troops stationed near Ukraine’s border.
Meanwhile, Russia refuses to move its troops away from the Ukrainian border, saying it has the right to deploy them there.
